1. Your money is safe
Walking holidays in France is a fully-bonded European tour operator. In accordance with “The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992” all passengers booking with us are fully protected for the initial deposit and subsequently the balance of all monies paid to us, arising from cancellation or curtailment of your holiday arrangements due to insolvency. The cover is valid irrespective of how you decide to pay us - whether by cheque, credit card/Paypal or bank transfer/wire. This insurance is arranged through the Association of British Insurers.
2. How to Book.
a) Once you are ready to book, and have read and accepted our terms and conditions here, please complete our booking form downloadable here in either Word format or pdf format and email it to us.
b) Payment. We need a 20% deposit per person to secure your booking, or full payment
if you plan to travel within 8 weeks of booking.
We will provide you with our bank or Paypal details once we receive your booking form. Payment can be made in either UK Sterling or Euros as follows.
i) Sterling: by UK Sterling cheque, cash payment at a branch of HSBC or credit card via Paypal. Bank transfer/wire is an option, with all bank charges payable by the customer.
ii) Euros - by Paypal or international bank transfer/wire.
Note: deposits and balances must be paid in the same currency.
3. Order confirmation and our contract with you.
When you have made a payment by Paypal, we are alerted automatically. This is not the case with transfer payments to HSBC, our High Street bank, and clearing cheques can take up to a week. So, when paying by cheque or bank transfer/wire, we suggest you send us an email, or phone us, to alert us to the imminent arrival of your funds. We acknowledge all orders by personal communication, not automated ones. This is done within 24 hours of receipt of your communication or clearing of your funds.
Please do not book any international travel arrangements or related items until we have confirmed your booking in writing. If your holiday starts in less than 8 weeks/56 days from placing your booking, you will need to make full payment immediately. No reservation or confirmation can be made until your payment is processed.
